Gorgeous Cosy Cabins That Are Perfect For Your Next UK Staycation

You know what? UK staycations are completely underrated. You don’t have to plan a ton or deal with jet lag , you don’t have to queue through airport security, and you don’t have to travel far to go somewhere new and exciting. The best part is, there are some seriously cosy cabins in the UK that are ideal for a few days of rest and relaxation. Here are the cosy cabins on my wish list and I reckon they’ll soon be on yours too…

Rufus’s Roost | Yorkshire

Not so much a cosy cabin but a full on cosy treehouse complete with hot tub, an outdoor fire pit and a barbecue. Rufus’s Roost is located in rural woodland north of York, this treehouse looks like the perfect place to get away from it all for a weekend with your loved one or to enjoy a good catch up with a group of friends.

North Star Club | Yorkshire

With a selection of cabins to choose from, North Star Club is the ultimate glamping getaway with beautiful wooden cabins set in between country woodland. Nestle in for the night in front of the log burning fire after cooking your dinner on the BBQ, or go roast marshmallows over the fire pit while enjoying a tea and some cake from the Wood Shed. When the sun rises, take a walk in the countryside or venture into nearby Beverly for the day.

The Lodge | Cumbria

Imagine waking up in the morning and opening your bedroom curtains to the gorgeous Lake District? That’s exactly what you can do at The Lodge in Cumbria. This place looks like the best place to truly enjoy peace and quiet and there’s even a hot tub from which to enjoy that fresh country air…

Squirrel’s Nest | Powys, Wales

Enjoy a hot tub chill out with views over the Welsh countryside at this cute little bolthole. If the hot tub at the Squirrel’s Nest isn’t doing it for you then there’s a huge copper bath, huge windows so you can take in the views, a bed on a mezzanine level, an outdoor shower for those glorious summer days, and so much more. If I’m going on holiday to Wales, this place is where I’d very much like to stay.

Ditchling Cabin | West Sussex

Fancy a lakeside retreat? Then Ditchling Cabin might be just the one for you. With access to a private lake, you can spend your days fishing, swimming, or canoeing on the water and then retreat in the evening to your roll top bath with incredible views of the lake and countryside… Day trips can be made to Brighton but I think if I was staying here I’d just cosy up for a full weekend in front of the fire…

Buck’s Coppice | Dorset

Another cabin on the water and this one just oozes cosy simplicity. Bolt up in this Scandi inspired cabin for the weekend and expect only to see local animals such as deer while you enjoy your time here. There’s no hot tub at Buck’s Coppice but there is a log burner so you can bet this would be the best place to enjoy a board game night with good food and good company…

Uplands Treehouse |Bristol

A cool treehouse, alpacas, and driving distance to Bristol… What more could you want? With views over the Mendips, you can enjoy breakfast on the wooden balcony while planning what to do for the day. Whether that’s taking a trip into the city or enjoy the countryside that’s on your doorstep, the Upland’s Treehouse is the perfect little base for your next UK staycation.

The Woodman’s Treehouse | Dorset

Now this place would be an absolute treat. Walk up the boardwalk to your own private treehouse complete with a rotating fire that can be pointed near the sofa, copper bath, king sized bed or the kitchen – wherever you’re deciding to relax. There’s even a sauna and a hot tub here too and you can take the day slow with views of the surrounding woodland. Just as stunning on the outside as it is on the inside, this place is real luxury for a weekend away.
